Those worthy of mention and attention..
- NatureDevil
These guys are my favorite nuts! They are energetic, fun,
funny, interesting, memorable, and downright entertaining.
Ok, so maybe your ninety year-old grandmother might not
think so, but I think you should take her to a show anyway.
She might like having her picture taken with a sex toy (Inside
joke folks, you need to see their show to get it). As a
special treat they give anyone and everyone a chance to
play rock star at their shows. If you know the lyrics to
any of the songs let them know and they will be happy to
invite you up on stage to sing and scream along. If you're
a lover of musical fun don't miss these guys, and make sure
you tour the website, it's a big bag of goodies
- The
Wandering Endorphin
This guy is an absolute MUST SEE! For anyone and everyone
who loves music and I mean MUST SEE. Hearing him is only
half the treat and once you see him you'll understand what
I'm saying. He is one of my all time favorite artists and
a true original. I guarantee that there are few who have
ever seen an acoustic guitar used, abused, and played the
way he does. Once you witness it you'll want your friends
to witness it as well. So the first chance you get, treat
yourself to one of his live shows, you won't be disappointed.
- Jason
Kluss
Jason's easy going stage manner and delivery give me the
feeling that I'm listening to one of the most honest guys
on earth, and in a world full of bullshit it's refreshing
to my ears. There is a contrast of innocence in his persona
and maturity in his voice. I suspect that not only will
people find him enjoyable and entertaining as I have, but
the girls in particular will find him simply charming. Just
don't tell him I said that.
- The
Electric Eels
If you look closely at the song writing credits on my CD
you will notice that many of the songs I do were written
by Brian McMahon. If you are at all curious as to who the
heck he is, check out the Electric Eels site. Here's just
a little bit; "In its Sept' 98 cover article "100 records
that set the world on fire" the WIRE (UK), placed a Brian
McMahon penned single among that number. His band then was
the Electric Eels." If you want to know more about Brian's
genius and some of his past, check out the Eels site.
- Michael
Charles
A local blues musician transplanted from Australia, Michael
often finds himself hosting open mic nights promoting local
music. His musical talents can be heard on John's current
release, A Legend in His Own Mind.
- Wee
Minnies Bar
I've never been here, but Wee Minnies Bar and lounge in
Northern Ireland has my CD on the juke box so drop them
a line and tell them how happy you are about that.
- Maginn's
Bar
I haven't been to this one either, but they also have my
CD on their juke box so drop them a line, too.
No real websites on these folks, but if you happen to be in
Northern Ireland or bar hopping in Chicago check these out.
They are all supporting my CD on their jukeboxes.
