Brian "NatureDevil" Lambrecht - Bassist

Brian Scott Lambrecht is not only the bass player for John Michaels and the Invisible Dogs, but is also the guitarist, lead singer and persona of NatureDevil. He likes to keep himself busy.

He has played in many bands in the Chicagoland area and gained lots of experience through it all. While working on NatureDevil original material, he plays bass for Jason Kluss and appears on his debut record "no Fear In Me" which came out in January of 2006. He will also appear on and be the producer of Jason's sophomore album to be recorded in the spring of 2008.

A self proclaimed Libertarian, Brian spends much of time on road trips, reading books and studying history; currently and specifically the Civil War. He is developing his own YouTube show called "The Angry Musician," is set to release his first NatureDevil album "better Living Through Denial" in 2008, and owns and manages his own business which helps pay the bills of being a musician.

His musical influences explain a lot. He was raised off of Nirvana, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and Local H. He loves anything by Beck, the first two Weezer and Silverchair albums, the Foo Fighters, the Eels, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Primus, the Offspring, Ben Folds, Metallica, Audioslave, System of a Down and most recently Dream Theater.

His biggest thrill in his musical career as of late has been appearing live on Chicago's Q101 Morning Fix show, as well as countless other radio shows and podcasts, performing on the Jason Kluss full length album, meeting and working with some of the greatest musicians in and around the city of Chicago, and performing at great musical venues such as the Congress Theater and Double Door. He looks forward to building relationships with more people through music.

If you were wondering at all what Brian's favorite authors or actors or movies were, he made a list in advance. Knock your socks off.

MOVIES:
My favorite movie of all time is the Princess Bride, followed closely by Fight Club (Chuck Palahniuk is great), Duel (Steven Spielburg's first ever movie in 1971, and in my opinion his best), The Seven Samurai (I love Akira Kurasawa), Rear Window (Alfred Hitchcock at his best), Star Trek: First Contact (my favorite of all the Treks) and Serenity (based off of the Joss Whedon TV show Firefly). I love the Muppets, the Ninja Turtles, Mr. T and Batman (the new Batman, the cartoons, the 90's ones, Adam West and Burt Ward, and even the old 1940's Batman serials). Any documentary on anything science, history or politically related is a must. I think some of the stuff made by James Burke and Milton Friedman in the 70's is pure gold.

I love the best of the best when it comes to directors as well, including Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Akira Kurasawa, Alfred Hitchcock, Orson Wells, Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielburg, John Ford, Cecil B. DeMille, Martin Scorsese, Carol Reed and Fritze Lang.

As for actors and actresses, I love Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, the Marx Brothers, Sean Connery, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, Lon Chaney Jr., Christopher Lee, Peter Lorre, Peter Cushing, Peter Sellers, Kurt Russell, Bela Lugosi, Vincent Price, John Carradine, Jim Belushi, John Belushi, Clint Eastwood, Dennis Weaver, Stacy Keach, Alan Alda, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForrest Kelley, James Doohan, Patrick Stewart, Bruce Cambell, George C. Scott, Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, the Three Stooges, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Basil Rathbone, Burgess Meredith, Frank Gorshin, Ceasar Romero, Harrison Ford, Marilyn Monroe, Laurence Olivier, Henry Fonda, John Wayne, Cary Grant, James Stewart, Lucille Ball, Katherine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Humphrey Bogart, Charlton Heston, Gene Hackman, Christopher Lloyd, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Richard Dreyfuss, Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine, Paul Newman, Leslie Nielsen, Al Pacino, Grace Kelly, Clark Gable, Kirk Douglas, Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Douglas Fairbanks, Charles Bronson, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Robert DeNiro, Robin Williams, Edward Norton, Scott Bakula, Dean Stockwell, W. C. Fields.... I can't think of any more right now....
